Podcast Episode 68 – Permaculture for Preparedness

In today’s podcast I discuss integrating  permaculture and preparedness. I have found no better system to apply for the preparedness minded person. This does not replace things like food storage, something that was simply a part of life for people before we became complacent. You want something that can insulate you (and community) from loss of income, degraded food and water supply then this is definitely something to look at. Permaculture is design science that can make a property abundant. No, this is not going to protect anyone from the zombie apocalypse but it is a way to make an individual and community more resilient in the face of calamity.

In the worldview section I discuss the recent decision of the PC(USA) to affirm same-sex marriage officially in their Book of Church Order. This is nothing more than a continual slide away from the Bible as their rule for faith, life and practice to one of being a culturally driven denomination. For the PC(USA) their ultimate authority is the culture.

Scripture of the day: Proverbs 22:3

“The prudent sees danger and hides himself,
but the simple go on and suffer for it.”
